Rumpus Theatre Company
Written by
Robert Louis Stevenson
Based on a classic story by Robert Louis Stevenson
The German Baron and the Italian Count were firm friends, but friends with history. A long-ago love-triangle threatened to tear their friendship apart, but in the end was happily resolved ... apparently ... and cordial relations were resumed. But one of them harboured a grudge, a secret desire for revenge. Was this revenge ever fulfilled? And ... if it was ... was it murder? Was it even the perfect murder?
The audience response to Rumpus's The Ripper FilesS! was tremendous … "laughs, scares & a great... well I won't drop a spoiler!" … “superb actors, one edge-of-the-seat play, one unforgettable night out!” ...
While Father Brown - The Murderer in the Mirror was “a murderous treat” (leftlion.co.uk) … “I would highly recommend this play … top class” (whatsgoodtodo.com).
Was it Murder! … set in the atmospheric world of 19th century Italy, and based on an ingenious tale told within Robert Louis Stevenson's novel The Master of Ballantrae ... promises more … much more … of the same!
