As part of the new era for pantomime in Chesterfield, producers Little Wolf Entertainment are producing Beauty and the Beast at the newly transformed venue, 1435, and we are now able to announce that local children are being invited to audition to take part in the Junior Ensemble and appear alongside the professional actors.
As the new venue is still being finished, the auditions will take place across the road at Winding Wheel Theatre.
The auditions are open to Boys and Girls aged 9 -16*, regardless of dance or drama school affiliation. We are looking for kids with bags of energy and personality. Acting, singing, and dancing ability is required, but previous theatre experience is not essential.
*16 and still in year 11 at the time of the show.
The auditions will be in a relaxed setting and will be held in a ‘workshop style’, with participants being asked to learn a short dance upon arrival, but the focus will be placed on all participants having fun at these auditions, ensuring that everyone feels confident to have the platform to showcase their talent.
This is an invaluable opportunity for anyone wishing to gain experience in a professional pantomime setting.
There are different sessions throughout the day allocated to different age groups.
