At Rose Hill War Memorial
This event has been removed from sale until further notice.
Every year the council hosts an event outside the Town Hall for Remembrance Day; however due to the restrictions on public gatherings that are currently in place, the event will take a different format this November.
Pre-bookable timeslots are available for those wishing to lay a wreath on Sunday 8 and Wednesday 11 November at the war memorial. Please read the section titled ticket information before booking.
On Sunday 8 November 2020 at 2.30pm, the council will be holding an outdoor Service of Remembrance at the Rose Hill War Memorial for invited guests only, which will be conducted by Reverend Patrick Coleman from the Parish Church. This will be followed by a short wreath laying ceremony for invited guests to take part in. Members of the public who try to attend this event will be asked to leave.
Unlike previous years, this year’s event will not be open to the general public. The council encourages members of the general public to stay safe at home this year, and instead join us virtually via a livestream that will be available on the day.
Members of the public will be able to watch the proceedings from their own homes via a livestream and the link for this will be posted on the council’s website and promoted across the council’s social media pages.
In order to maintain social distancing, pre-bookable timeslots are available for those wishing to lay a wreath at the war memorial outside of the time of the event. You can book tickets here or you can book over the phone by calling Leanne Mowbray on 01246 345 239. Any queries relating to this event should also be directed to Leanne Mowbray on the number above.
Each time time-slot will have one ticket available to book. This ticket can be used for a party of up to six people. Covid restrictions at the time of booking and at the time of the event apply. Please check current restrictions on the government’s website. If you are unsure, and need clarification before booking, please contact Leanne Mowbray on 01246 345 239.
