Based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo and adapted by Nick Stafford, War Horse has delighted millions of people around the world on stage since it was first performed at the National Theatre in 2007. This will be the first time since its original broadcast in 2014 that War Horse will be able to be viewed on cinema screens. filmed live in front of an audience .
Telling the story of young Albert and his beloved horse Joey who, at the outbreak of World War One, is sold to the Cavalry and shipped to France. Though still not old enough to enlist, Albert embarks on a treacherous mission to find him and bring him home. This powerfully moving and imaginative drama is a show of phenomenal inventiveness. At its heart are astonishing life-size puppets by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company, who bring breathing, galloping, charging horses to thrilling life on stage. (165min)

When collecting your order from the bar, simply give the name the booking was made under – you don’t need to print your ticket or confirmation email. However, having it to hand on your phone or tablet would be of help. If you have mobility difficulties, a member of the team can collect your order and deliver it to your seat in the auditorium – just let our team member know when you arrive at the auditorium.
Remember, films don’t have intervals so don’t forget to claim it before the film starts!

Each ticket price advertised above includes a £1.50 booking fee. No matter how you book (online, phone, in person) or how you pay (cash, credit/debit card, voucher), the fee will always be the same. The number of trailers, advertisements and intervals (intervals on satellite broadcasts only) can vary for each screening. Please add at least 30 minutes in addition to the stated running time when calculating the duration of your visit.
