Cinderella pantomime cast visit to hospital

The cast of Winding Wheel Theatre’s pantomime Cinderella made a visit to The Den and the Nightingale Ward at Chesterfield Royal Hospital Wednesday 4 December to spread some festive cheer.

Cast members, Cast members, including James Jordan (Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing on Ice), Katrina Bryan (CBeebies Nina and the Neurons, Molly and Mack) and award-winning wicked sisters Oliver Gray and Dean Horner met patients and handed out Christmas gifts.

Other cast members included Imy Hayes (Cinderella), Steve Best (Buttons), Ashley Emerson (Prince Charming) plus ensemble dancers.

Jenny Reaney, Play Specialist Team leader said: “These visits mean so much to children who are poorly and staying with us for a few days. We don’t want them to miss out on the magic of the run up to Christmas and want them to be able to share in the joy and magic. I know that the panto team have a hectic diary and schedule, so it means even more to us that they have taken time to do this. Thank you – it’s been a great afternoon and very much appreciated.”

A spokesperson for PHA Pantomimes said “This is a very worthwhile event to bring a little joy and laughter to the children who must be feeling quite anxious. We wish them all speedy recoveries.”

Cinderella is at the Winding Wheel Theatre, Chesterfield until Tue 31 Dec 2024.
